The day has been rough, and the night even tougher. Penance to the Sandman, I finally lay asleep. The eyelids fall heavy, energy depleted. Insomnia’s the loser. I’m now free to dream deep. The darkness is welcoming, relaxing to the senses. Yet uneasiness abound catches me off bay. I lay perfectly still in hopes of it passing. Yet it still lies in waiting, shrouded by the grey. For just a simple sound,
More than your void kiss
And aeons pass
While time takes her toll
My body turns to grass
Then back to flesh
A never ending cycle
Yet I wait
